Program Note:
A Little Water Music is an electronic composition created from recordings I made in April 2011, of Biscayne Bay in the area around North Miami and on the Deering Estate at Cutler. I digitally processed the resulting audio to create the piece. I had a great time recording with the assistance of Judith Etzion, Laura Wilcox, Jennifer Tisthammer, and her son Jacob.  This piece is a preview for a larger-scale project, Sounding Biscayne Bay, including a concert piece and installation, to premiere at the Deering Estate at Cutler at a later date. A Little Water Music was premiered at the Bass Museum in Miami. The version with video by Kim Yantis was premiered at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre in NYC on 4/1/12. –JS
