Fulcrumpoint New Music Project presents Terra Infirma

Fulcrumpoint New Music Project will give the Chicago premiere of Terra Infirma on their program Terra on their program Terra Infirma: Healing the Earth following its world premiere at Michigan Technological University. Scored for instrumental septet and electronics fashioned from animal calls and the sounds of the Great Lakes, the piece responds to the endangerment of both the fauna and the Great Lakes themselves. Climate change has already changed the ecology, while habitat loss, pollution and overuse have caused critical problems. This concert, led by Stephen Burns,  also includes music that speaks to these issues by Derek Bermel, Paul Oehlers and Emily Doolittle.
