Rachael Cohen & Katya Janpoladyan Premiere New Version of Love Song

Clarinetist Rachael Cohen & cellist Katya Janpolaydan will premiere a new versin of Love Song  composed  for them on Steel City Clarinet Day on August 24th. Both are members of the Kassia Ensemble, which commissioned Shatin to compose Kassia, inspired by their namesake, the 9th-century Abbess, hymnographer and poet. Love Song, itself an instrumental  of Shatin’s earlier Come Live With Me and Be My Love, brings its own special flavor to this pastoral music in the warm timbres of clarinet and cello.
