unter soreles wigele (Under Sarah"s Cradle) is a setting of a traditional Yiddish poem that plays on the folk melody associated with it, but in a contemporary context. It was commissioned by YIVO, Institute for Jewish Research as part of their project Continuing Evolution: Yiddish Folksong Today.

Rising on the Wings of Dawn is an image from Psalm 139 which inspired this solo piece. It received its world premiere performance by violinist Wanchi, and I created the new version for viola in close consultation with violist Ayn Balija for this premiere.
